For a short break with a difference, Normandy is hard to beat ask anyone who has been there and they will tell you that it really is one of the truly unspoilt corners of Europe. Normandy is lush and green, with tiny fields and half-timbered buildings. Indeed the area’s other name is ‘Cider and Cream Country’ which tells you all!
As a region of France it is very much intertwined with this country, from Joan of Arc to the more recent history of the D-Day landings in 1944. We have Richard the Lionheart and of course, one of our early kings, William the “Conqueror” of England. Everything in Normandy seems vaguely familiar, yet foreign; it’s hard to put your finger on it exactly. In fact the present day Normans seem to have more in common with us, than they do with the rest of the French! So there is no doubt you will be made to feel at home, even more so if you choose one of the many farmhouses or gites that are offered in places such as Rouen, Bayeux, Honfleur, Fécamp, Arromanches. You will love the beauty of Normandy, its sheer variety, so come with us and see for yourself.
