Snow in the UK – Sun in Florida

Well what a contrast to the weather conditions between our Compareaway offices in the USA and the UK. The girls in the UK are saying that they have had snow this weekend and that the drive into work was not too good. I had to point out to them that the weather in Florida had also dropped to 78 degrees today! It’s quite interesting as we are now seeing a surge in demand in the USA from the snowbirds coming down into Florida and renting holiday villas to get away from the cold and in the UK people are booking ski chalet holidays to get to the snow.It really is now a global market and with the ability to fly to just about any tourist resort in the world now in a lot of people’s price range we are starting to see the more traditional holiday periods getting stretched further and further apart. Each year some popular destination falls down the pecking order only to be replaced by the latest up and coming ski resort or beach location. That’s the great thing about running a holiday rental site – each year trends and demands are going to vary making our job even more interesting and rewarding.
